Sylwia Wilczynska is an owner and head designer of Sylwia Designs Inc. located in Lincoln Park, Chicago.
She was born and raised in Poland till the age of 19, where she attended art school in major of painting and sculpture. Briefly after moving to United States Sylwia started working in fashion industry. Her work with private clientele, as well as ready to wear collections started over fifteen years ago. Sylwia designs mostly women’s wear. Her esthetic and design philosophy goes back to classic roots of clean, defined lines and accentuated femininity. She has extensive experience as couturier which allows her to be very precise in application of proportion in pattern making. Sylwias intention is to empower women trough her designs. The designer of SYLWIA, Sylwia Wilczynska, started in fashion world by teaching herself step by step the craftsmanship of designing and tailoring. First, trough her childhood, she would dream, diving into her parents closet, then opening her creative wings attending art school, to carving it later into a career. Thanks to her meticulous attention to detail, authenticity, dedication, and pure love for her work she opened her first studio. Shortly after that, her rapidly growing clientele allowed her to open a boutique in Lincoln Park, Chicago. She also designed for SYLWIA JAMES LLC label in Miami for couple of years. Her work was featured in multiple runway shows, TV shows, and fashion magazines.
Clothes that Sylwia designs invite each woman’s personality to come through. Every season her collections combine extreme elegance with freshness, and capacity to mature in time, letting her customers to cherish the experience of building their wardrobe.
